Jess West / Monsterz Inc.
It all begins with an idea.
Jess West, a self-taught artist, was born to create. With a passion for bringing her imagination to life, she has undertaken countless projects that many would deem impossible. Driven by hard work, determination, and a touch of faith, Jess believes she can craft anything.
Her journey began in 6th grade when she created her first cosplay costume, inspired by Poison Ivy from the 1992 Batman movies. What started as a hobby eventually transformed into a thriving career. After years of crafting costumes for customers across Indianapolis, Jess gained recognition from the Indy Star Newspaper for her life-sized 7-foot-tall Chewbacca costume, created for GenCon 2016.
The article propelled Jess into the spotlight, leading to features in numerous media outlets, including USA Today, Indy Star, Nuvo, and local news channels. This exposure allowed her to collaborate with nationally recognized companies like the New York Yankees and MTV, while also serving local businesses and individuals with custom-made pieces. … like me! Since, she’s expanded her creativity to running Monsterz Inc. in Irvington, appearing on Hulu’s Dress My Tour, the cover of North Indy magazine, and creating more costumes than we have space for here.
Below are some of my favorite photos since I’ve known her. If you’re interested in getting something made (and truly she can make anything) reach out to her!

It all begins with an idea.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
